Ship It Squirrel has shipped software for twenty years. He is watching the thing he built that career out of become reproducible in an afternoon. He is not angry about it. He is not in denial about it. He mostly just says something dry and goes back to work.

A squirrel spends his life burying acorns. The acorns are the craft — the hard-won knowledge, the scar tissue, the instincts. Something just dug up the whole stash in one afternoon and politely asked if he needed more.
